The great thing about this netbook is the care put into creating the keyboard, virtually the same size as a full sized laptop keyboard, so it can be used properly. It is also beautifully finished off, the screen is excellent in all but bright light and it is whisper quiet. I purchased this netbook so I always have something I can use in an emergency when away from my desktop PCs. The build quality is superb for such a small machine and the battery life rocks! It is so light when carrying it around. The screen is very small but it is fit for purpose. The sound quality is better than I expected also. So far, so good, in that it hasn't crashed on me. I upgraded the RAM to 2 gb. For those who don't know how to do this, YouTube has a great video explaining how. I use the Asus for surfing, emailing, MS Office applications and my accounting package (VT). It all works fine. I definitely recommend this product.

I bought this netbook about 2 months ago and I am in love. I use it alot as I have moved abroad to do a year at university. Alot of people I have met bought a small one for the same reason. I have asked them all how much they paid and they paid roughly the same. Except, theirs die at least 7 hours earlier than mine, and are slower. Also using other peoples netbooks i was originally put off by the touchpad ( i am used to laptops) however netbooks do that weird thing where they zoom in when you don't want them to. I have not had a problem with this one. It has proven much better than the dell, acer and samsung netbooks that I've had a real good play with.

After nearly one months usage,the Asus 1005HA with Windows XP has exceeded expectations. It is really lightweight, has an excellent keyboard and superb battery life. Even the charger, often a weight and size problem with laptops, is neat and lightweight whilst also be very effective. The mousepad takes a bit of getting used to but with practice gets better. A very useful function is the snooze feature which is enabled by a simple function key. Whilst asleep the Asus hardly uses any power and waking up takes just a few seconds. Overall this has proved to be a very cost effective solution to my need for lightweight PC for travelling.

This notebook is wonderful. Its quick and light and the keyboard is very good sized, I touch type and have NO problems with it at all. I was worried that viewing the monitor would be difficult (being use to a much bigger one) and was pleasantly surprised that reading text on it is very good. There is nothing bad I can say about this computer. I love it, and traveling with it is a breeze as I am not weighed down it is like carrying nothing!
